Climate: Quebec is divided into four climatic zones: arctic, subarctic, continental and humid maritime East. From south to north, average temperatures range in summer between 20 and 5 degrees in winter, between -10 and -25 degrees.
Economy: The Quebec economy is highly diversified. It is based on industry (Bombardier, Alcan (aluminum) but also on new technologies. It also has gold mines, iron, copper, zinc, but also titanium, asbestos, silver , magnesium and nickel. The province produced an enormous amount of hydro-electric (1st World) and exports electricity to the United States. The forest industry is highly developed.
