Climate: Most parts of Yukon has a subarctic climate, characterized by long cold winters and summers short and hot. The coast of the Arctic Ocean has a polar climate.

Economy: the Yukon economy based on mining, there is notably gold, which has created an effect of the gold rush in the 19th century.

North West Territories

Climate: Because of the vastness of the territory, there is a large temperature difference from north to south. The north has a polar climate, while the south has a climate rather sub-Arctic. Summer in the south is short and relatively warm (average 20 degrees during the day and 10 night) and the winters are long and rigorous.

Economy: Agriculure is almost impossible, except a little in the north, the territory's economy is based on mining products. It has gold, diamonds, natural gas and oil but also copper, tungsten, silver, cadmium and nickel.
